Hello Thunder Family,
The last few years, I’ve been helping to care for family members while breeding Boston Terriers. When I heard about the need for a coach for 13U, it brought me back to my roots growing up in Tucson. The coaches I had while playing for the Cowboys from '96-'98 and then at Sabino High from '99-'03—go Sabercats 🙌—helped mold and grow me as a young adult.
My love and memories of that time have led me to become a first-year coach, excited to impart not just my wisdom and knowledge of the game but also the passion of what it means to be a student-athlete.

Hello! I'm a proud Marine Corps veteran who found his way back to Tucson. With a knack for structural welding, I've also discovered a passion for coaching and community involvement. Back in the late 90s, I lent a hand as a defensive coordinator for a Pop Warner team, sharing the love of the game with young athletes. My journey also led me to serve as a wildland firefighter with the Northwest Fire Department for six rewarding years. Since 2018, I've been spreading the joy of flag football as a coach with Marana Parks and Recreation, initially for my son's team, and now with Under the Lights. Let's build a brighter future together on and off the field!

A little about me:
I was born in Memphis & grew up outside of LIttle Rock, Arkansas. In my school-age years, I participated in our town's sideline Sertoma Cheer squad & cheered in Jr. High & High School. I attended college at Arkansas State University where I obtained my degree in Marketing Management. During that time, I became a member of the AOTT fraternity & a resident assistant for my dorm. This is where I developed a passion for helping others.
The day after college, I moved to Chicago, IL. During this time, I met my husband Chris, got married, & eventually had the two joys of my life - my daughters. In 2020, Caterpillar decided to move us from the Windy City to the sizzling desert of Tucson & the rest is history!
I love Marana & am so happy to be a part of the community. Whether giving back through my Cathy Morency Coldwell Banker Realty business, being a foster parent, volunteering, or substitute teaching at Gladden Farms Elementary School, I strive to make a positive impact in others' lives. I am excited to continue this endeavor through bringing the joys of camaraderie, teamwork & healthy competition to our Thunder Cheer team!
